The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house having a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and nsfas 2025 wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS nsfas status check only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
